In college, some of my buddies were climbers and always tried to get me to go to the wall at the WRC. I have a slight fear of heights so always came up with an excuse for not being able to join them. When 2011 rolled around I decided I would try something I had been procrastinating for over a decade. Even though I haven’t been back to the wall since, I am proud that I tried something new and overcame my fear during the hour I spent climbing.
Like most people, you’ve probably been procrastinating something in your life. Whether it is trying yoga for the first time, learning how to cook a certain food, or reading a book, set a timeline and get started. Maybe it will turn out to be something you don’t connect with or maybe it will be your next hobby. You never know unless you try!
