An Apple A Day…

Hello and happy fall! This time of year makes me especially happy because it is apple season. Growing up, my family always had McIntosh apples around the house. For reasons both sentimental and tasty, these are by far my favorite apples.

Apples are low in calories but high in fiber which means you’ll feel fuller eating fewer calories! Apples are also a great grab and go snack and they pair nicely with peanut butter or oatmeal for a healthy breakfast.

I recently had some friends over and wanted to make something with apples. I ended up slicing up some Macs and Grannies, drizzled them with honey and peanut butter, and topped them with raisins and coconut. The end result was healthy, tasty, and a crowd pleaser!
