Ice Ice Baby


With warmer temps and increased time spent outside biking, gardening, and walking, I’ve been drinking more water the past few weeks to stay hydrated. While I usually prefer my water plain and room temperature, occasionally I’ll get bored and want something a little more refreshing. 

I had a lime and lemon that needed to be used so I sliced each one up into small pieces, placed in an ice cube tray, filled with water, and voilá, lemon-lime ice cubes! This obviously isn’t rocket science but it is a super easy and rather attractive way to add a little natural flavoring to your water. I know many people use pre-made flavor enhancers but they’ve never appealed to me.

Next on my list of fancy ice cubes will be cucumber, mint leaf, and raspberry. Do you usually flavor your water? If so, what do you use?
