I am back after a long hiatus from all things related to Hello Wellness and happy to report that I am starting a POUND session in January through the Community Ed program with Des Moines Public Schools.
In January of this year I became a mother to a very special little lady, who grew with me as I taught POUND last fall! She is almost one, full of energy, a bit stingy with her smiles, and my trusted companion in all things I do nowadays.
When my little lady was born I committed to taking the first year of her life away from all the things (I believe the cool kids call these “side hustles”) I had been doing, like teaching POUND, teaching Pilates at Wellmark, and teaching a course at Grand View. I can’t say I missed constantly feeling rushed and overwhelmed by my full AND part-time jobs! I really don’t know how I would have managed all of that with an infant.
I have missed teaching POUND and received a lot of emails from my former POUND posse asking when I would be back. I have committed to an eight-week session starting January 16. Here are the details; I hope to see you in my class!
POUND at Edmunds Elementary!
When: Tuesdays from 6:15-7:00 PM
Cost: $39 for an eight week session!
Dates: January 16 through March 8
To sign up for my class, you will register with the Community Ed program through DMPS. Click here and select “exercise and fitness” and then navigate to “POUND Rockout Workout” to reserve your spot!
A little about POUND: this is a workout that ANYONE can do. There are modifications that make it easier or more challenging so I encourage you to try it! Like anything you try for the first time, it takes a couple classes to get the hang of. One of the reasons I hear people say they love this workout is because it is FUN! Just look at my friend Kodee (she’s also a POUND instructor!). You will also be jumping for joy after a POUND class!
