My winter POUND session starts on Tuesday, January 12 and class is from 6:15-7:15 at Edmunds Elementary in Sherman Hill. This elementary school is just off the I-235 MLK and KEO exits so very convenient for those hopping on or off the interstate. It’s also very close to downtown, Ingersoll, Drake, and Grand neighborhoods! Basically if you live in the Des it’s about as easy to get to as any gym or fitness center! It’s also a short-term commitment! The session runs eight weeks. If you can’t make it to one of the classes you can even send a friend in your place. How cool is that! It’s also very affordable! At only $39 how can you go wrong?
I have been teaching POUND since 2014 so my two-year POUND-a-versary is right around the corner! Over the years teaching I’ve gained quite a little following, aka my POUND Posse! I’ve even roped a few of these gals into helping me haul my sound system to and from my car. If you’d like to apply to be one of my roadies all you need to do is get registered!
POUND is a great way to get started on a fitness routine or to mix up an existing fitness routine. Class is comprised of cardio, squats, lunges, and core. It is fun and you will sweat. I repeat, you will sweat. It helps that elementary school gymnasiums are on the warm side – wear a tank and capris or shorts! All fitness levels are welcome and all fitness levels will get a workout as the moves can be modified to meet your goals! Don’t wait another moment, get registered as space is limited!
