I’m ramping up for my third POUND session, POUND Posse! A lot of exciting things have been happening in my POUND world lately and I just wanted to take a moment to share.
My Winter POUND Posse has been so dedicated to their practice and I’m very proud of them. I have several friends taking my class (shout out to my self-appointed roadies Leslie, Aaron, Megan, Megan, Leslie, and Kendra!) plus I’m getting to know all my participants more which means I am making new friends! We’ve been POUNDING for eight weeks at Greenwood with the lovely Greenwood Gopher watching over us. One of the most dedicated, fabulous ladies from my POUND class, Molly, suggested we should be the WHO Workout of the Week! I emailed Erin Kiernan, the anchor for WHO TV, and she agreed! Last week Sonya Heitshusen, also of channel 13, stopped by Greenwood to POUND with us! She did a fabulous job but I’m kicking myself for not getting a photo; at least we have a video!
Because POUND is growing in interest, we are moving to Edmunds Elementary! They have a larger gymnasium so we will have an opportunity to grow our POUND family through DSM Public Schools Community Education. Edmunds in is Sherman Hill so it’s only about five minutes from Greenwood and a little closer to 235 which might make it easier for people to access.
Here’s why I love the community education classes – they are a very affordable way to find out what fitness adventure speaks to you. The commitment for POUND is short-term – only eight weeks! No hassle in purchasing a membership or making astronomical monthly payments to take classes you love. I’ve had people fall in love with POUND and register for every session (that number is growing!) and I’ve had people decide it’s not their workout, which is a-ok. Either way, this is a very affordable way to find out if POUND is for you!
