Laugh, Out Loud!


The saying, “Laughter is the best medicine” has been around for a long time but some studies show that laughter may boost overall health. According to WebMD, when we laugh our heart rates increase, we contract muscles in our face and core, plus laughter can even burn calories (about 50 calories for a good 10-15 minute laugh fest).

While there is some skepticism regarding the true health benefits related to laughter, I don’t think anyone would disagree that laughter makes a big difference in how we feel. I recently met up with a group of friends and I think we certainly burned about 50 calories laughing and did the equivalent of a 15 minute ab class! Don’t discount the health benefits of good friends and lots of fun and laughs! Thanks, ladies!
